Being fairly new to Australia when we decided to renovate our newly purchased home, we were rather daunted at the prospect of finding a good building team to take on the task. The double storey house had good ‘bones’ but was in desperate need of internal uplifting and modernising along with some necessary structural changes.

From the the start of the tender process, Tim proved to be honest, upfront and methodical in his quoting and both my husband and I had a good feeling about working with him. Luckily we went with our intuition because Tim and his team did an excellent job. His builders and contractors were absolutely respectful of our property and neighbours and the quality of the labour was pristine.

Tim was very accommodating of our architects and their vision for the property and he communicated with us through every step of the project to ensure no nasty surprises. We could not have been happier with the work and professionalism of Tim and his team at Sharpe Build. The whole project was run on time and on budget with the exception of delays that were entirely our fault! Tim’s input into important design and material choices was brilliant (even improving on the original architect’s design) and his guidance on choices of all the “little” things (tiles, lights, colours, finishes, benchtops, appliances etc.) was spot on and made a normally difficult process easy and comfortable. His team of tradies did a brilliant job and showed that they genuinely cared about producing an outstanding outcome for our home and that is exactly what they did. We undertook a major renovation of our Sydney apartment and engaged Sharpe Build to carry out the work. We couldn’t be happier with the end result and how the entire process was so seamless! Tim Sharpe and his team were responsible for extensive renovations of our 1904 weatherboard cottage in Fairlight from February to September 2016. Tim Sharpe and his team did major renovations at our property in Pymble six years ago. This involved building a new second story living space, demolishing/replacing an existing building, and installing a state of the art drainage system.  The 18 month job went without any major problems.  Tim’s group managed all the various stakeholder relationships masterfully.

The real measure of a builder is how his projects stand the test of time.  I am happy to report that the quality of the work has been born out over the years and we have had no complaints at any stage. Like anyone facing an extensive renovation for the first time, we were nervous and interviewed a number of builders and sought recommendations from many people. From the outset your organisation and attention to detail at the quote stage helped you to stand out from other builders. Because we conducted our renovation without an architect past the council approval stage, we wondered how to manage the work and whether it would all come together, given the lack of a very detailed up-front spec. Yet your project management skills, eye for good design and very pragmatic approach meant that we were in good hands throughout.
